Austin is a great town. About as good as a place can be that has neither a beach nor mountains. There is great recreation, great bars, great theater’s, and great Mexican food everywhere. What else do you need?

My favorite thing is the Greenbelt. It’s a park that runs though town but not a park in the groomed sense. It is just a section of riverbed that is very wooded and offers great climbing on the limestone banks, as well as swimming, running, mountain biking, and caving—not to mention hoards of scantly-clad University of Texas co-eds for inspiration. Every town should have one.
